Visit Rollover

Your monthly visit rolls over for one month if unused — so a busy month doesn't mean a wasted visit.

Insurance Reimbursement

A superbill is provided after every visit.

Metis does not bill insurance directly — but that doesn't mean your insurance can't help. After each visit, you'll receive a detailed superbill with the diagnosis and procedure codes your insurer needs to process an out-of-network reimbursement claim. Many patients with PPO plans recover a meaningful portion of their visit cost. HSA and FSA funds can also be used for Metis visits.

Common Questions
Before you book.

Do I need to stay with my current doctor?

Yes — Metis is a specialty practice, not primary care. Dr. Sapp manages your perimenopause, menopause, and hormonal health; you'll maintain a separate relationship with a primary care physician for everything else.

Can I use my insurance?

Metis does not bill insurance directly. You'll receive a superbill after every visit to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. HSA and FSA accounts can be used for all visits.

Do you accept Medicare?

No. Metis does not see patients for whom Medicare is the primary or secondary insurer in any form — including Medicare Advantage (Part C). If you have Medicare coverage, Metis is not able to see you at this time.

Which states do you see patients in?

Currently serving Colorado, with Texas coming soon. You must be physically located in the licensed state at the time of your visit — telemedicine licensing is tied to where you are, not where you live.

What's the difference between the two membership tiers?

Foundations ($299/mo) includes a visit every month and is designed for new patients or those actively adjusting their treatment. Maintenance ($169/mo) includes a visit every quarter and is for patients who are stable on an established protocol.

Can I switch membership tiers?

Yes. Once you're established and your treatment is stable, you can transition from Foundations to Maintenance. Dr. Sapp will discuss timing with you — most patients make this transition after 3–6 months of active care.

Do you prescribe weight loss medications?

Dr. Sapp addresses the metabolic changes that arise directly from the hormonal transition — insulin resistance, body composition shifts, and lipid changes — as part of comprehensive menopause care.

How do prescriptions work?

Prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. For cash-pay medications, Dr. Sapp can discuss manufacturer patient assistance programs and pharmacy options to help manage cost.

What if I just want a single visit to start?

That's completely fine. You're welcome to book an initial consultation as an à la carte visit with no membership commitment. Many patients choose to start this way before deciding whether ongoing membership care is right for them.

How do I cancel my membership?

Either membership tier can be cancelled with 30 days written notice. There are no long-term contracts — membership is designed around your needs, not a subscription model.

What to Expect

From first visit to ongoing care.

Knowing what the experience actually looks like makes it easier to take the first step.

1

Book your intro call or initial consultation

Start with a complimentary 15-minute intro call to ask questions and make sure Metis is the right fit — or book directly into a 60-minute initial consultation if you're ready. Scheduling is done online.

2

Complete your intake forms

Before your visit, you'll receive a detailed intake questionnaire covering your symptom history, medical history, medications, and goals. Completing it thoroughly means your visit time is spent on you — not paperwork. You'll also receive a link to download the Play Health app and begin symptom tracking.

3

Your initial consultation (60 minutes)

A private, secure video visit with Dr. Sapp. She'll review your history, ask follow-up questions, discuss your symptoms in depth, and explain the relevant science clearly. You'll leave with a treatment plan, any prescriptions sent electronically, lab orders if needed, and a clear understanding of next steps. Payment is collected at time of visit, and a superbill is provided immediately afterward.

4

Labs, prescriptions, and follow-up

Lab orders go to your preferred local draw site — no in-person visit required. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your pharmacy. Dr. Sapp reviews results and follows up directly. Most patients have a follow-up visit within 4–8 weeks of starting a new treatment.

5

Ongoing care — membership or à la carte

Once your initial plan is established, you choose how to continue. Membership patients have a visit included each month (Foundations) or quarter (Maintenance), with direct texting access between visits. À la carte patients schedule follow-ups as needed. Most patients transition to Maintenance membership within 3–6 months as their treatment stabilizes.
